The 2017 Go Laadli - Lead Like A Girl Challenge Winners!

Formal announcement and note of thanks

It gives us immense pleasure to formally announce the winners of The 2017 Go Laadli - Lead Like A Girl Challenge. We are humbled and fortunate to have received highly impressive, deeply personal and passionate submissions from our contestants and would like to thank each and every one of them for their effort.

Picking the winners was not easy. The submissions went through a rigorous evaluation process based on pre-determined and published criteria where external judges graded blinded written entries to choose the top submissions. This was followed by personal in-depth interviews by an expert panel to identify the seven most deserving candidates. Meeting (virtually) with the contestants and speaking with them was one of the most rewarding parts of this exercise. We were awed and amazed by some of the responses and are thrilled by the potential our girls have. The Challenge has left us incredibly richer with personal perspectives from our young dynamic contestants and we are deeply grateful. We will be sharing the top profiles in the coming days!

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank our partner NGOs, teachers, and schools for facilitating the process and our sponsors for believing in our goals and mission. To our amazing volunteers - this inaugural edition would not have been possible without your critical support. From graphic design for the challenge material, to evaluation of submissions, Go Laadli is deeply indebted to you for your contributions.

Please join us in congratulating the following scholarship winners (the names do not appear in any rank or order):
