Note of Thanks : The 2018 Go Laadli - Lead Like A Girl Challenge

“Volunteers don’t necessarily have the time, they just have the heart” - Elizabeth Andrews

The 2018 Go Laadli - Lead Like A Girl Challenge was a huge success in both outreach and impact. As we made deeper inroads into schools around India, we were able to draw the interest and attention of a wide range of people who have believed in our mission and wanted to be part of this effort. This year, we worked with a larger group of volunteers, teachers and made new partnerships. As a 100% volunteer run organization, we are extremely grateful to all those who helped. This is a small homage to our teachers and partners in India!

Teachers and coordinators

We have deliberately chosen to reach our participant pool via a network of schools. This approach has helped us start important conversations between the teachers and student communities, thereby adding another dimension to an existing education framework. Our sincere gratitude to school principals and teachers who acted as point sources to explain the Challenge and encourage their students to participate!

Teachers and coordinators who were our boots on the ground to make The 2018 Challenge happen!

Partner Organizations

We are fortunate to have created some key partnerships with grass-root organizations working closely with diverse target student groups including underprivileged children. We are incredibly grateful to:

  • Hriday-Shan and Asha for Education for going the extra mile in connecting us with their network of schools, partners and facilitators. You have been with us since the beginning of our journey and we cannot thank you enough for your support.

  • Teach for India (TFI) and Feminist Approach to Technology (FAT) for going above and beyond, encouraging, guiding and working directly with students throughout the participation process. Your passion to make a difference in the lives of children you work with is palpable and we are immensely fortunate to have you on board.

We deeply cherish our collaborations and look forward to working together in the future as well!
