  • Description: Zana Africa, founded by Megan White Mukuria, provides support to young Kenyan girls to stay in school by providing reproductive health education and sanitary pads

Title: BIRTHING PROJECT

  • Description: Founded by Kathryn Hall-Trujillo, Birthing Project serves to improve birth outcomes for women of color in the USA. Their program pairs at-risk African American pregnant women with volunteer “sister friends” who provide one-on-one guidance and help through pregnancy and for one year after birth.
